Energy savings with efficient equipment

Saving our clients money by supplying the most efficient equipment has always been our passion, but now things have become more urgent. The government have raised price caps on both electricity and gas with further rises forecast for October this year. Water companies have raised their bills for metered water and even the chemical providers have seen recent increases. The time to act is now.

Working on the new tariffs here are a few facts.

• The difference between the most and least efficient 30lb gas tumble dryer is 6.5kw, If used for 8 loads a day you can save £950 per annum.
• A small 8kg electric dryer with auto-stop versus a manually set dryer can save 10 minutes per cycle, saving £60 per month
• An average 35-bed care home spends £18,000 per year on gas, electricity, water and chemical in their laundry. We can show you how this can be reduced.
• If you have no gas and have to use Electric dryers then you need to look at heat pump technology. This will reduce your bills by 70% saving £1,000’s each year per dryer.
• A large 50lb gas tumble dryer can cost as much as £2.50 per hour to run. An electric dryer is £9.30 per hour. A more efficient model saves 25% of your energy.

Electrolux washing machines have automatic savings, which weighs each load and only uses the water and chemical to match the size of the load. This will save you more money over the lifetime of the washing machine than it costs to buy. Amazing but true.

Underloading the washing machine costs a fortune, we can supply a machine that will not start unless it is loaded above a chosen percentage. It also won’t start if more than 100% full, saving on costly re-washes.

Tumble dryers require large vents in the wall to meet gas safe legislation meaning the room can be cold requiring heating. Did you know there are some dryers that can be room sealed so no vents are required saving on your heating bills?
